Military General Service 1793-1814, 6 clasps, Talavera, Busaco, Fuentes D’Onor, Ciudad Rodrigo, Salamanca, Vittoria (A. Keely, Coldstm. Guards) carriage bent between first two clasps, otherwise very fine £600-800

Ambrose Keely was born in the Parish of Hadcorne, near Maidstone, Kent, and enlisted into the Coldstream Guards on 26 March 1800. He was discharged on 6 March 1817, ‘in consequence of being subject to Rheumatism and having been badly wounded in the lower Jaw at Talavera in July 1812 [sic].’ Sold with copy discharge papers.
