Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, an extremely fine and rare Warrant Officer’s Foreign Service helmet plate c1882, in copper gilt and silver plate; the format is almost identical to that of the officer‘s pattern (Bloomer p109/110), QVC over Thistle Star with thistle overlays these enclose a title circle and centrally the coronet cypher boar’s head and cat badges in silver, the QVC though undoubtably original is however of other ranks pattern excellent condition £350-450
