Nicholas Watson was born in Rennington, Northumberland and enlisted at Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Serving with the 1st Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers he was killed in action on 8 October 1918, aged 19 years. He was buried in the Forenville Military Cemetery, Nord, France. Watson was the son of Nicholas and Isabella Watson of Rennington, Alnwick, Northumberland.
