Four: Corporal E. Tindall, Durham Light Infantry

1914-15 Star (2822 Pte., Durh. L.I.); British War and Victory Medals (2822 Cpl., Durh. L.I.); Defence Medal, unnamed, mounted incorrectly; together with a Sacriston Tribute Medal 1914-19 (Cpl. Sig. E. Tindall) 37mm., silver, fitted with a (slack) cupro-nickel straight bar suspension, good very fine (5) £100-140

Private Edward Tindall, Durham Light Infantry entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 20 April 1915. He later served in the Machine Gun Corps.

With a letter to Tindall at 13 Rosedale Terrace, Horden, dated 8 April 1946, from the Territorial Army and Air Force Association of the County of Durham, confirming his entitlement and forwarding a length of Defence Medal ribbon; together with unnamed medal forwarding slip, a photograph of the recipient and riband bar. Also with a death certificate of Ralph Southron Tindall, who died on 6 October 1987.
