Kaisar-I-Hind, E.VII.R., 1st class, gold, unnamed, complete with gold brooch bar, total weight 40.45g., nearly extremely fine, scarce £1000-1400

Attributed to Colonel John Montriou Campion. This officer was an M.I.C.E. appointed to the Public Works Department on 1 February 1869 as an Assistant Engineer on the State Railways. Appointed Executive Engineer in 1880 and transferred to the Punjab Establishment in August 1881. Temporarily with the Military Works Department during 1881. Served as Chief Engineer, 1882-85; appointed Superintending Engineer in 1896; Officiating Secretary to the Government of the Punjab, July-October 1899; and Chief Engineer State Railways, 1900. Awarded the Kaisar-i-Hind in gold on 26 February 1902. He retired in August 1902.
