Victor Wilson was born in Sunderland. Employed as a Farmer in New Zealand, he attested for the Imperial Yeomanry at Newcastle on 4 January 1900, aged 27 years, 3 months. He served in the 15th (Northumberland) Company, 5th Battalion of the Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa, February 1900-June 1901. He was discharged in 18 June 1901 having completed his period of service. With copied service papers.
