Gellatly, Surgeon) dated clasps loose on ribbon, in Russells, Manchester fitted leather case; with a South African Republic 1 Shilling 1897, fitted with a loop; coin worn; medal extremely fine (2) £140-180

Robert Gellatly, M.B., C.M. (University of Edinburgh 1897) came from Huddersfield and served in the Boer War as a Civil Surgeon with Number 12 Stationary Hospital. Later a Captain in the R.A.M.C.; M.O.H. Meltham U.D., and Medical Superintendent of the Colne & Holme Isolation Hospital. With copied roll extract.
