Great Britain, RMS Doric II, a plated and enamelled sugar sifter, c.1930, 125mm; RMS Majestic II, an enamelled brass badge, c.1935, 35mm; MV Georgic II, an enamelled brass badge, c.1935, 28mm. [3]. Extremely fine (£80-100)

RMS Doric II, built 1921-3 at Harland & Wolff, Belfast; the only White Star vessel to be powered by turbines alone, the spent most of her working life cruising to the Mediterranean; written off in a collision, 1935 and sold for scrap. RMS Majestic II, originally the Bismarck, built by Blohm & Voss, Hamburg, 1913; ownership passed to White Star in 1922 and she began 14 years of service on the Southampton-New York run as the largest liner in the world, 10 May 1922. MV Georgic II, built by Harland & Wolff in 1931; maiden voyage to New York, 25 June 1932; requisitioned as a troopship, Mar. 1940; bombed and sunk by the Luftwaffe at Port Tewfik on the Suez Canal, July 1941.
