Medals Related to Aviation, Belgium, Le Belgique, c.1909, a uniface bronze plaque by D. Weygers for Fisch, issued on behalf of Les Communes d’Auderghem et de Watermael-Boitsfort, seated semi-naked female holding a scroll, looking at a dirigible in the sky overhead, back engraved (Souvenir du Dirigeable “Belgique” des Type et Construction Louis Godard), 70 x 52mm (cf. DNW 42, 1292 and 45, 924). Extremely fine, most attractive light patina, rare; in original red Fisch card box, lid with Godard label, inscribed ‘M A. Mouchersur, Aeronaute’ (£120-150)
