Great Britain, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, 1904, a silver award medal by F. Bowcher for Pinches, bust of Alfred Willett right, reverse frontal elevation of the hospital, named on edge (1953, J.G. Ross), 58mm (BDM VII, 106; MJP p.187); together with other institutional silver award medals (4). [5]. First extremely fine, in brown case of issue; others very fine but one polished (£30-50)

The first medal was awarded annually ‘for highest marks in operative surgery’
