France, Death of Léon Gambetta, 1882, a silver medal by L.-O. Roty, bust left, reverse LIBERTATIS AMORE, etc., above sprigs of oak and palm, 68mm (Roty Compagnonnage p.91; Coll. R. Marx 5; CGMP p.358; BDM V, 230; Gaz. Num. 1897, p.132, 6). Very fine but has been cleaned, rare in silver (£60-80)

Executed in 1883, but not issued by the Monnaie until 1884
