India, Madras Exhibition, 1855, a bronze medal by B. Wyon for Hancock of Birmingham, laureate bust of Queen Victoria left, reverse semi-nude female seated under a palm-tree, pair of bullocks and hut in background, edge named (Captain J.W. Hay, 1855), 63mm (Pudd. – [cf. 855.2]); together with Indian Art Exhibition, Delhi, 1903, a bronze award medal, unsigned, frontal elevation of building, reverse engraved (Cal. School of Arts), 51mm (Pudd. –). [2]. First with tiny reverse rim nicks, otherwise both extremely fine, first nicely patinated and rare (£70-90)
