Hammer Price:
£2,600

Eadmund (939-946), Penny, Bust Crowned type, no mint name, Bolo or Bozo, crowned and draped bust right, +eadmvnd rex, rev. small cross, bozo monita e, pellets and trefoil in legend, 1.43g/6h (cf. CTCE 261 [Bosa]; N 697; S 1106). Slightly bent, with some light scratches on face, otherwise good fine or better, extremely rare £2,000-2,500

As well as Bosa, who is known for portrait coins without mint name, there are also coins with the name Boe (thought perhaps to be a blundered form of Boiga). Whether the final letter e can be interpreted as the first letter of a mint name is open to conjecture
