Saleroom Notices
The following were amendments to the catalogue descriptions
378 EMC 2012.0019 and UKDFD 27126, found near Market Rasen. There are coins of a moneyer Frith(e)gist or Friothekest in William I types 2 and 3 with ambiguous mint signatures (LEGE, LEG and LEI) in addition to a William I type 7 penny of Fretthgest with a clear Leicester signature (LHR), but no other mint has a moneyer with any version of this name in the Norman period and it may be suggested that all of these coins should be attributed to Leicester (ex inf. Dr Martin Allen)
379 The mint is London; the footnote can be disregarded
383 Possible moneyers for this coin are Alvret and Thuret
384 There are two other known coins of the moneyer in this type, BM ex Lincoln hoard (CM 1973, 8-23, 90) and BM (CM 1982, 7-25, 1)
386 The only known type 12 coin of Colchester. Unique
686 The 1903 coin is a Florin
690 Sold with a letter relating to the 1684 farthing from Colin Cooke, dated October 1978
