Private Thomas Kerrigan was Mentioned in Despatches for his services during the Great War.

The Leinster Regiment received a total of 332 India General Service Medals, with clasp for Malabar. It was whilst on service in Malabar that the regiment was called home for disbandment. Interestingly, the colours of the India General Service 1908 ribbon are those of the Leinster Regiment, being chosen as a compliment to Lieutenant General Willcocks of the Leinsters, who commanded the operations on the North West Frontier.
