Private Jeremiah Bridgeman was born and enlisted in Cork. He was killed in action France and Flanders 20 October 1914 whilst serving with the 2nd Battalion, Leinster Regiment. During this action at Mont de Promesques in the Battle of Armentieres, the Leinsters suffered a total of five officers and 150 other ranks killed.
