Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, V.R., small letter reverse (267 Corpl. G. Colton, 90th Foot) edge bruises, otherwise good very fine £40-50

George Colton was born at Hadlesy, near Selby, Yorkshire, and enlisted into the 90th Regiment at Kingston upon Hull on 8 January 1858. He served in India for 11 years but never saw action or campaign service and therefore had no other medals. His L.S. & G.C. medal was granted in 1876, with a Gratuity of £5, and he was discharged at Hamilton on 16 January 1879.
