Military General Service 1793-1814, 2 clasps, Nivelle, Nive (Edwd. Clifton, Capt. Coldst. Gds.) suspension claw re-fixed, edge bruise and polishing, otherwise nearly very fine £500-700

Edward Clifton was born on 17 February 1794, and joined the Army in May 1811. He served with the Coldstream Guards in Spain and France and was present at the battles of Nivelle and Nive. He was not present at Waterloo and was placed on the Half-pay in October 1819. Captain Clifton died on 23 January 1850.
