Royal Midlothian Yeomanry Cavalry, an extremely fine and rare officer’s three part helmet plate in silver plate and gilt, the gilt overlays pinned through (described in Carman, Yeomanry Headdress p52) c1860-1871 when the unit was disbanded, one fixing wire to the top mount missing, two of the five bolt fasteners sheared off, facially mint condition £300-400
