The 1st (the Royal) Regiment of Foot, a copper or brass lead filled manufacturer’s casting for the Light Company officer’s whistle guard c1830-1855, being a maltese cross overlaid with a crowned Union wreath enclosing a circle inscribed with the unit title, centrally a brass Sphinx/Egypt, now fitted with two loop fasteners; to-gether with a group of five badges to the Royal Scots comprising, a white metal shoulder title ‘RS’ and a similar white metal one, ‘ROYAL SCOTS’, a small two piece gilt collar badge, one post 1935 collar badge in silver plate gilt and enamel, and another similar in HM silver (6), the last item with pin back, worn gilt and rubbed Hall Marks, otherwise good overall condition £40-60
