A similar pair was listed in the 1975 Ray Byrne sale catalogue as lot 956, incorrectly described as ‘die trials’ and withdrawn prior to the auction. The same set was included in Daniel Sedwick’s ‘Treasure Auction 7’, 7-9 April 2010, lot 1687, and again described as ‘die trials’, where it realised $1,125
