Provenance: C.E. Bullowa-Moore Collection, Spink Auction 151, 15 March 2001, lot 494; M.J. Anderson Collection, Spink Auction 183, 26-7 September 2006, lot 432.

Catalogued as having no mint name in the Bullowa sale; Hue Walro simply being interpreted as a blundered version of Hue Walter. However Anderson and Sazama preferred to read the reverse as Hue Wal Ro and attributed it to Roxburgh. While the cataloguer prefers the former interpretation, a coin in the Ashmolean Collection (
SCBI 35, 71) reading hue wal · ro does perhaps lend some weight to the latter opinion
