Lenoir, standing robed female indicating the future to another robed female seated at quay-side, cityscape and mountains in background, exergue named (A M. Albert Mahieu, Senateur, Souvenir reconnaissant de la Mission Canadienne en France, 1923), 148 x 118mm. Graze at right, otherwise very fine and very rare £50-70

Albert Mahieu (1864-1943), politician, served as a senator for the département of Nord from 1924 to 1940 and was briefly Ministre de l’Intérieur in 1932 in André Tardieu’s government
