John Nelson was born in Clydebank, Dumbartonshire and enlisted at Paisley, Lanarkshire. Serving with the 1st Battalion Seaforth Highlanders, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 12 October 1914. He was killed in action on 10 November 1914. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial. Clasp confirmed. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details.
