William Essex Wisson was born and lived in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire and enlisted at Aylesbury. Serving with the 14th Squadron Machine Gun Corps (Cavalry), he died of wounds on 11 July 1917, aged 26 years. He was buried in the Tincourt New British Cemetery, Somme, France. Private Wisson was the son of Thomas and Ellen Wisson of Great Missenden.
