Leonard Nelson Kitchener was born in Pendock, near Worcester. A Farm Worker by occupation, he attested for the Grenadier Guards at Worcester on 12 September 1905, aged 18 years, 2 months. Serving with the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, he served in France/Flanders, 6 October 1914-28 February 1919. Later discharged to Class ‘Z’ Reserve. Entitled to clasp. With copied m.i.c. and service papers.
