Robert Edward Ernest Prior lived in Moseley, Birmingham and enlisted at Birmingham. Serving with the 2nd/5th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment, he died of wounds on 12 August 1916, aged 34 years. He was buried in the Merville Communal Cemetery, Nord, France. He was the son of Matthew Prior of Barton-under-Needwood, Burton-on-Trent, and husband of Gertrude Prior of Latimer House, 70 Balsall Heath Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham. With copied m.i.c. and some other research.
