Younghusband was entitled to the Queen’s medal with clasps for Transvaal and Orange Free State and the King’s medal with the single clasp for South Africa 1902. Invalided on 23 May 1900 and returned to South Africa on 13 February 1902, attached to the 1st Battalion from 16 April 1902 having previously served with the 3rd Battalion. Single clasp K.S.A. verified on WO100/328, one of five such awards to the regiment.
