WORLD HISTORICAL MEDALS France, Pallas, a uniface cast bronze plaque, signed JC in monogram, bust of young woman left, holding a spade and wearing a coronet of clubs, tulip in front, 99 x 83mm. High relief, extremely fine and richly patinated (£80-100)

Believed to be early 19th century work. The figure may have been intended as a likeness of the playing card image of the Queen of Spades
