George Clarence Corbett was born in Nottinghamshire on 30 April 1877, and joined the Royal Navy as a Stoker 2nd Class on 22 July 1896. He joined
Centurion on 24 March 1899 and served ashore with the Naval Brigade in China. He was wounded by a bullet in the left shoulder at the capture of the Hsiku Arsenal on 22 June 1900. He was discharged to shore, time expired, on 21 July 1908, having recently been promoted to Leading Stoker. Sold with copied record of service.
