James Edgcombe served as a Private in the Royal Marines aboard H.M.S.
Albion at Navarino. He was born at Underwood, Devon, and was enlisted by Lieutenant Edwards at the Royal Marines Head Quarters on 22 June 1825, aged 19. He was discharged to Plymouth Hospital suffering from paralysis of his left arm on 4 October 1830. Sold with copied muster rolls.
