Archibald J. Cole came from Blandford, Dorset. As a Lance-Corporal in the Military Mounted Police, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 16 August 1914. Clasp confirmed. Later transferred to the 1st Battalion Dorset Regiment during which service he was awarded the M.M. for bravery in action.
