Private Nicholas Charles Ryan, Rifle Brigade entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 21 July 1915. He was later discharged. With original 10th (Service) Battalion Rifle Brigade Permanent Pass, named to Rifleman Ryan and dated 4 March 1915. Together with copied m.i.c.
John James Ryan was the son of Nicholas Charles and Louisa Maud Ryan of Dagenham, Essex. Serving as a Gunner in 2 Medium Regiment, R.A., he was killed in action on 29 May 1940, aged 19 years. His name is commemorated on the Dunkirk Memorial, Nord, France. With copied war diary extracts.
