Badge No. 5709 was awarded to Air Mechanic 3rd Class Charles Alfred Harris, Royal Air Force, late Wiltshire Regiment and Irish Rifles, in which latter unit he was wounded in the right arm and thigh in June 1917. He was discharged in March 1919, following service in 53 Wing and 37 Squadron.
