After a District Court Martial at Maresfield Camp, Kent he was found guilty of stealing £35 from Sapper Regan and was Discharged with Ignominy on 28 January 1920. His British War and Victory Medals were sent care of H.M. Prison Belfast on 17 March 1933 - his m.i.c. so marked.
