William Henry Callwell was appointed Midshipman on 26 January 1867; Sub-Lieutenant, 14 August 1871; Lieutenant, 15 October 1875; retired, 11 May 1876. He was appointed for services with Indian Troop Transports on 3 September 1898, and is confirmed on the Q.S.A. medal roll under Transport Staff (not borne on Ship’s Books).
