Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, 1 clasp, Tel-El-Kebir (2255 Pte. P. Starr, 2/R. Ir. Regt.) edge bruising and minor marks, otherwise good very fine and a scarce casualty £700-900

2255 Private P. Starr, 2nd battalion Royal Irish Regiment, died of wounds suffered at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir, 13 September 1882. The British force lost a total of some nine officers and 48 men killed in the battle, of whom one officer and four other ranks were from the Royal Irish Regiment.
