Shropshire, Willey and Snedshill, John Wilkinson, Boulton’s mule Halfpenny, bust right [die of DH 420-1], rev. mail & post coaches to all parts of england in wreath [die of Ibberson’s Halfpenny, DH Middlesex 339 and 342], edge plain, 12.53g/12h (DH Warwickshire 472 bis, this piece). Obverse rim knock at 4 o’clock (and corresponding on reverse), some light surface marks and has been cleaned in the past, otherwise about extremely fine and of the highest rarity; believed the only known specimen

As the dies do not exhibit any perceptible rust, one may presume that this piece was almost certainly struck in 1795
