Middlesex [Medallic and other series], Thomas Paine, 1793, a white metal medal, unsigned, man hanging from tree, a tree is known by its fruit…, i die for this damn'd book in speech bubble, rev. may the tree of liberty exist to bear tommy's last friend, 32mm, 10.89g/12h (DH 209; BHM 366). An early strike without the obverse die flaws, some surface marks and a small stain on obverse at 1 o’clock, otherwise very fine and very rare £900-1,200
