France, “L’Infini”, a fine uniface bronze plaquette by P. Lenoir, seated figure of semi-nude young woman, her arm around the shoulder of an adolescent boy leaning on her thighs, both gazing at the sea; legend below “Quelque chose de pur de sacré, de béni/ s’elevait jusqu’à nous du calmé de l’abime/ un vertige aimantait nos coeurs vers l’infini/ nous sentions l’attirance auguste du sublime”, 228 x 195mm, with rounded top (ANS Exhib. NY, cat. p. 131, no.17). Extremely fine and rare (£100-150)
