BRITISH COINS Elizabeth II 1952 -, Two-Pounds, 1994, bi-metallic Royal Mint trial, with cupro-nickel centre and broad nickel brass border, with third portrait by Raphael David Mackouf, signed on truncation; elizabeth ii dei gratia regina f d around, no mark of value, reverse man-of-war; royal mint trial above, 1994 below, edge straight-grained, with anno regni xlvi decus et tutamen, with two stops in the form of roses, 12.04gms. Some scuffing, otherwise extremely fine or better, excessively rare (£600-800)

The bi-metallic Two-Pounds was not introduced until 1997. The only example of this trial the cataloguer is aware of.
