Martinique, St. Vincent-Guadeloupe-Martinique, ——— Sixty-Six Shillings, BRAZIL, Maria I and Peter III, 6,400 Réis, 1786, Rio, with a small central hole where a plug had been inserted to bring the coin up to the 7½ dwt standard, obv. countermarked with s raised within a square indent four times spaced around the edge; plug removed on Guadeloupe and passed in error at Twenty Livres per gros (authorised April 1803); the coin moved to Martinique, valued at Twenty-Two Livres per gros and obv. countermarked with 22 above eagle raised within a shaped indent (authorised September 1805), 11.50g/177.6gr/7.40 dwt (cf. Gordon 10, 15 and 19). Coin about very fine, countermarks very fine or better, of the highest rarity £3,000-3,500
