Charles I (1625-1649), Exeter mint, Shilling, 1644, mm. rose, large bust of coarse style, 5.93g/8h (Besly C10; SCBI Brooker 1064, same dies; N 2575; S 3085). A little weakness by date, otherwise about very fine, toned, rare £800-1,000
