An interesting pair to Warrant Officer G. Wilson, Yorkshire Regiment, who was present at the Bombardment of Hartlepool in December 1914

Sold with copy of medal roll and m.i.c confirming B.W.M. as sole entitlement. Both these sources state that this was awarded specifically due to the fact that he was present during the ‘Bombardment of west Hartlepool’. The 3rd Battalion, Yorkshire Regiment sustained two casualties during the bombardment, details of the action from the regimental journal are included with the lot.
