Three: Corporal E. W. Love, 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles (Saskatchewan Regiment), killed in action at the capture of Regina Trench by the 5th Canadian Brigade on 1st October 1916

Edgar William Love enlisted at York on 22 December 1914. He was killed in action on 1 October 1916, and is buried in Regina Trench Cemetery, Grandcourt, Somme, France.

Regina Trench was a German work, captured for a time by the 5th Canadian Brigade on 1st October 1916; attacked again by the 1st and 3rd Canadian Divisions on the 8th October; taken in part by the 18th and 4th Canadian Divisions on the 21st October; and finally cleared by the 4th Canadian Division on the 11th November 1916.
