Ex Glendining’s June 1906.

John Leddy was born at Castletard, Co. Cavan, and enlisted into the 44th Regiment at Wexford on 15 July 1813, for life, at the age of 21 years. He was present at the battle of Waterloo in Captain O’Neal’s Company, and served in the East Indies from 1822 to 1827. He was discharged at Ghazepoor on 12 May 1827, suffering from the effects of the climate. Sold with copy discharge papers.
