Essex Regiment, an excellent selection of collar badges and shoulder titles, c1881-1970, including three cloth shoulder titles, white on red ‘ESSEX’, yellow on purple ‘ESSEX’ and black on khaki WWII slip-on ‘ESSEX’; three variable size brass ‘ESSEX’ titles; pairs of collar badges:- osd County shield over ‘THE ESSEX REGT’ (sprigs below scroll), a very fine pair of officer’s shield pattern, gilt with mounted silver seaxes, a similar die-stamped pair, seaxes silver with gilt hand guards and grips, other ranks brass shield pattern, other ranks brass die-stamped Eagle pattern, very fine pair officer’s large gilt Eagle pattern, and a scarce pair of gilt WO’s ‘cap badge’ pattern (gilt dirty on one), other ranks anodised brigade period (single lug type), officer’s silver plate and gilt brigade period, three further odd shield types and one odd anodised Royal Anglian type, very good condition overall (28) £80-100
