2nd & 3rd Volunteer Battalions, The Essex Regiment, a group of three extremely scarce cap badges, all with the post 1902 Castle design, in white metal, plain plinth and title scroll ‘2nd V.B ESSEX REGT’, slider fastener; secondly in white metal with plain plinth and title scroll ‘3rd V.B ESSEX REGT’ and further scroll below ‘SOUTH AFRICA 1900-02’, one original blade fastener missing; thirdly in cast silver plate, the plinth inscribed ‘3rd VOL. BATTN.’ one original blade fastener missing, in excellent condition other than the fastener defects (3) £150-200
