56th West Essex Regiment, a rare officer’s gold bullion embroidered forage cap badge, c1857-1881, the ‘MORO’ scroll over the Castle & Key, ‘GIBRALTAR’ scroll below, all above ‘56’, all on a blue cloth backing; together with a similar badge but larger and without the ‘56’, possibly the pattern worn c1881-1883 by the 2nd Battalion, The Essex Regiment, excellent condition (2) £150-200
