The Essex Regiment, a very fine and unusual officer’s helmet plate, c1901-1914, being an official conversion from the QVC backplate, gilt back plate and oak wreath overlays, silver title scroll and centre but this, though undoubtably original, comprises the three towered Castle and dependent Key for Gibraltar only, the Sphinx/Egypt and Montis Insignia Calpe motto are omitted, near mint state £150-200
